NOTES
the ladies sketched in this drawing are 65 years of age+. age is not the observation but the evolution of human social networks alongside the greater mechanics of the everyday. the mystery of connection and disconnection over time - between people and the universal environment. geometric shapes are of interest to me, replacing parts of the human figure, and in particular the head representing a meeting of minds or a patchwork of human fabric weaving.

'foot for sale'

NOTES
As an extension of my notes re: 'Portrait of 3 Ladies sitting at a Cafe', my interest in geometric shapes replacing and/or amplifying parts of the human figure continues in my photographic work. In this work, the foot is framed within a measured rectangle representing the movement or space travelled between connection and disconnection. Here I would like to put a spotlight on (human) digital consumption and the subject of identity within the online landscape. Does the online landscape (platform) present endless threads of information and identities? When do we connect and when do we disconnect? Technology is rapidly shifting, moving and weaving new patterns of consumption, human social interaction and psychological (mechanical) responses - and in many ways the online platform exposes an endless chord of human real estate (or territories).
